When I visited Harold E Holt Naval communication station for the first time in 1977, it was a bustling community of US military. It was opened in 1968.Complete with bowling allies, diners and an aquatic centre It was home to US military personnel up until 1991. It was the first time I saw a left hand drive car. It was just fascinating to a 7 year old boy. When it was handed back to the Australian Defence Force, ,the base was decommissioned and Is now being re purposed as a Space Surveillance telescope (SST )as part of the US Space Surveillance Network. I returned there late last year with permission from the ADF.
The Exmouth Gulf is as beautiful as it is remote. Dramatic tidal movements, vast surreal skies provide containment for such an incredible place of natural beauty. "Deserts" are revealed during low tide only to disappear and transform into oceanic seascapes during the high. To stand with this metamorphosis one cant help but feel the power that is unleashed in such short passages of time.

I am pleased to offer my prints for sale online for the first time to all with whom my work resonates. I take great pride in the prints I make. It is a true passion of mine. A photograph, after all, is a beautiful object which comes from a magical process. They deserve to be more than just pixels on a screen. Meticulously colour graded and signed by Simon. Each print will be numbered and offered as editions of 25 in each size. Once they are sold out they will no longer be offered for sale.
